There’s a house upon the hilltop

Please come inside.

For that is where the witches live,

Where ghosts and goblins hide.

Soon she’ll have her party,

All the lights are burning bright,

We’ll line up to go inside

The haunted house that night.

The demons there are whirling

And the spirits swirl about.

They sing their songs to Halloween.

“Come join the fun,” they shout.

 Everyone will be there

So try with all your might

And oh the magical fun we’ll have

In the haunted house that night.

Ms. Vanessa Valencia of

A Fanciful Twist

invites you to a magical night of mayhem and madness

that is frightfully fun for all!

Please join in the Halloween Celebration!

Well I have some great news!

My Kitchen is finally finished.

It has been a long 54 days of ordering out, using the bathroom sink to wash dishes, picking cigarette butts out of the yard and having to park on the street.

But I am thankful it is over and pleased with the results.  So here is a re-cap of the flood of 2011.

August 4th Flood

September 6th after much waiting and run around from the insurance company,

the workers came and gave us a nice new sky light.

Then they opened up the kitchen a bit for fresh air.

Just kidding, this is where the new back door will be.

Our nice new framed door. Notice it is dinner time, as Ennis is stuffing his face!

Looking a bit better I think. . .

No more counters and the floors is gone.

I was doing pretty good until I had to find something in the guest room.

I feel like a hoarder! I feel like any day now I will get a knock on my front door saying I need help!

New floors are in and looking nice.

Lucy wanted to walk on them first.

It is starting to look like a kitchen again. But. .

We should not get our hopes up.  The counter tops do not fit because the walls are not even. “Old houses do this”

So we wait 4 more days. . .

After a nice coat of Pumpkin Spice paint the kitchen is finished.

And it only took 54 days.

Done just in time for the Fall season. There are recipes to bake and crafts to make.  I am blessed!

Thanks for taking the time to re live this yucky experience. I hope it never happens to me again or to you EVER!

One last request from me to you is to. . .

Stay tuned for some great, fun, fall crafts!

Until Then,

Isn’t she just a doll?  Only 7 Weeks old and even better, she was born on July 19th. MY BIRTHDAY! I walked into a local pet store to buy some turtle food for Dexter and our eyes met from across the room.

It was love at first sight.

We love her to death and the other Fur Babies luv her too!
