Archive for August, 2013

Hidey Ho Neighbor,

It is already August and that means that means Fall is just around the corner! Woo Hoo!!! You have not idea how happy that makes me. I am already planning on all the delicious food that I am going to cook, bake and EAT!!  So in honor of comfort food preparation, I am making Crock Pot Chicken Alfredo. I found this recipe on Pinterest. Imagine that. . .  I changed it up a little but let’s  I  get right to it.

Crockpot Chicken Alfredo

2 Chicken Breasts (boneless and skinless)

2 – 8 oz. Packages of Cream Cheese

1 Pouch of Italian Dressing Mix

2 – 10 oz Cans Cream of Chicken Soup

2 Packages of Fettuccine Noodles

Parmesan Cheese (optional)

I did not take photos because this is a pretty straight forward recipe and it is a one pot dish!

Nothing fancy!!

Put the Chicken and Cream Cheese in crock pot

In a separate bowl whisk together cream of chicken soup and 1 1/2 cans of water and the Italian dressing pouch.

Then pour that into the crock pot over chicken

Cook on medium heat for 4 hours (or low for longer)

Remove and Shred chicken once it’s cooked

You will want to whisk the sauce in the crock pot before adding the chicken back in.

Put shredded chicken back into crock pot and mix with sauce then cook for another 20 minutes while you make the pasta.

Boil water and cook fettuccine noodles.

I added the noodles to the crockpot!

You can just dip the mixture onto the noodles if you like.

And to think, Fall is just around the corner! I am so excited.  This photo is beautiful totally fits for the season on the horizon! I did NOT take this photo. The photographer is listed on the bottom of the image.

Until Then,
